June 02, 2006 - "Nip/Tuck" duo get salary lifts
LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - "Nip/Tuck" stars Dylan Walsh and Julian McMahon have carved out nice pay bumps for the hit FX drama's upcoming fourth season, sources said.

Walsh, who plays Dr. Sean McNamara, and McMahon, who plays Dr. Christian Troy, are understood to have each received a combination of a cash bonus and a per-episode fee increase brining their total compensation up to the $1.6 million-$1.8 million range, or more than $100,000 for each of the 15 episodes. That is believed to be almost double what the two received for the show's third season.

The pay increases came from the network, not Warner Bros. TV, which produces the series with Shephard/Robin Prods., sources said. FX and Warner Bros. declined comment on the matter Thursday, as did the actors' representatives.

"Nip/Tuck," from creator/executive producer Ryan Murphy, had a strong third season, despite switching from the summer to the more competitive fall period. The two-hour finale in December, which unmasked the Carver, a serial slasher whose identity was under wraps the entire season, drew 5.7 million total viewers, the largest audience ever for an FX original series.

Production on the show's fourth season is scheduled to begin Tuesday.

May 19, 2006 - Season 3 DVD Release Date Confirmed
Yesterday we passed along info from the L.A. Times newspaper that August 29th would see the release of Nip/Tuck - The Complete 3rd Season on DVD. Now our industry friends have let us know that this is indeed the correct date, and that Warner Home Video is preparing an official announcement for either today or early next week.

The early info our contacts have is that the SRP is $59.98 for a 723-minute set with all 15 episodes. On top of that, you'll see these extras:

• Unaired Scenes
• Documentary on the Look of the Show
• Behind-the-Scenes of the Season Finale

Furthermore, our insiders not only tell us, but show us (below) that Warner will release this set with two different types of box art. As our friends put it, one has the front cover that the folks behind this release want you to have (and which, we note, was used on the European packaging for this release), and the other (tamer) cover for "the Wal-Mart crowd", as they put it. Whichever box you get, you're sure to enjoy the episodes and extras from this sizzling hot show!

May 19, 2006 - End of August for Season Three
Heider, one of readers, wrote us an email late last night and pointed us to an LA Times article that mentions some upcoming TV-DVD releases. The only unannounced title on the list is the third season of Nip/Tuck, which they report to come out on August 29. Is the LA Times report accurate? Most likely, but, we'll have to wait until the studio officially announces it before we know for sure.

May 07, 2006 - Nip/Tuck Will Return in September
News is that Season Four of Nip/Tuck will begin in September 2006.

Q. Can you shed any light on Nip/Tuck? Is it going to return? They certainly know how to push the envelope. -- R.R., Orlando

A. Nip/Tuck doesn't push the envelope; the FX drama shreds it. That's what makes it so great. It is scheduled to return for a new season in September.

Kelly Carlson on Everwood
Kelly Carlson (Kimber Henry) will appear on Everwood tomorrow night at 9 on the WB. Tune in!

Kelly Carlson (Kimber on “Nip/Tuck”) descends on WB’s “Everwood,” at 9 p.m. You know how much trouble she stirred up for Christian? That’s nothing compared to what she’ll do to the not-so-innocent but absolutely lovable Bright.
